10 Grigg Moments in 2014

February, I went back to work at Cabela's with Benji. In doing so, Tristin became the latest fit model for their toddler clothes.

May, Tristin started walking. We have yet to be able to keep up with him since.

May 31st, we celebrated Tristin's first birthday.

4th of July, we spent with week in Utah and Idaho visiting family and friends. It felt like we had never truly left.

September, we decided we were ready for a new adventure and made the move to Texas. We are so excited to be here.

October, Benji and Tristin took their first father/son trip and attended Benji's brother's wedding in Denver.

Halloween.

December, Tristin got his first haircut. He no longer looks like a baby.

Santa was not a hit this year.

But Christmas morning was.

We are so grateful for the adventures and lessons learned this past year and are so excited to see what 2015 has in store for us!

over the weekend. and week.

Benji's mom and brother
came into town to visit us this past week.
Last Saturday we spent the day in Jackson Hole
with them.
As we were wandering around we went into this store
that was closing and had everything 80% off.
Benji found these red leather pants.
That of course he had to try on.

Then this past weekend we all went down to Utah
for General Conference and to see my sister and her family.
We hadn't seen my sister and her family since February.
I loved being with them.
I wish we had gotten to spend more time together.

Our view from our seats in the Conference center.

Weekend Recap.

Saturday after driving down to Utah
I spent the afternoon with my Dad and brother.
I am always entertained by the conversations
that happen with my brother around.

As we were leaving church on Sunday
two people in a row made comments
about my brother and I being married.
It was awkward.

Sunday evening I picked Benji up from the airport.
Post and pictures soon to come.
On the drive back he talked me ear off with stories.
He even made a list of all the things he wanted to tell me about.
Very unlike my husband.
It made me laugh.

Monday morning was spent going back to school shopping
for Benji.
I actually got more stuff than he did.
Our loot.

For lunch before we left we went to my Uncle's house.
My cousin asked Benji for them to shoot his BB gun together.

Can never be too careful?
I guess.

I want it all.

I have spent the past two days staring at
nothing and it gradually getting flatter.
My Dad and I drove my car down
from Salt Lake to Texas.

It all went by pretty fast, surprisingly.
I enjoyed being able to talk with my Dad
and get his wisdom and thoughts on things.

Friday before we left I had to go to Park City
and on my way I there it hit me
how much I have missed my car and Utah.
It made me secretly want to move back.

At dinner that night Matthew started talking about
an inverted pentagraph.
What the heck?
That is the reason he is going to be in school for the rest of his life.
Getting a million degrees and not me.

Ok ok....I have had loads of fun planning mine and Benji's wedding,
but seriously can it be here already?
I feel like time is going by so slowly then fast
but right now soo slow.

Officially Done.

This past week was my last week at my internship.

No more long drives through the mountains,
to get to Coalville.
No more eating of the delicious potato and cheese soup
from Denise's on Tuesdays.
No more sitting in meeting's to determine what
department is going to get what.
No more seeing my Uncle everyday.
No more getting teased about random stuff.

It feels good to be done,
but at the same time kinda nerve wrecking
because until February I don't really know what I am doing.
But only time will tell.

Now just to wait for my diploma.
Oh it feels weird to really be done.

Snow.

These past few days the Salt Lake area
has gotten quite a bit of snow.

As I am getting more and more experience
driving in the snow,
but at the same time I am getting
excited for Christmas!

It will be here sooner than we know it!

Lunch.

One of the many perks of doing my internship
with my Uncle
is every once in awhile
I get treated to lunch.

On friday we went to lunch at this
hole in the wall in
Morgan.

They had several peacocks around the outside of the restaurant.
It made me even more excited for February to come.

3 months, 3 weeks, 5 days.

Utah. Streets.

Utah does there streets on a block system and with directions.
As having just moved to Utah
this really confused me.

Many people have tried to explain to me how it worked
but I never understood it.

Until last night.
I was headed to the store one I had not been to before
and at first I got a little lost
but the direction thing finally clicked
so I was able to get there without having to call my Dad.

I was pretty proud of myself.

Its Fall...

Today at work we had Apple Cider
then we got Benji's plane ticket to come to
TEXAS for thanksgiving...

Fall just might be becoming my favorite season.
I am super excited for this fall.

This is what I see everyday driving to work.
I am starting to somewhat like it.

Isn't this little guy such a stud?
I can't wait to see him in a couple weeks!

Malad.

Friday I had an incredibly beyond brilliant plan.
It was great.
It was even better that Benji liked it.

Starting this upcoming weekend he is going to start working Friday, Saturday and Sunday
EVERY weekend.

Thank you Olive Garden. I appreciate it.

I wanted to see him.
So we met in Malad.

The halfway point between Salt Lake and Rexburg.
Malad consists of two gas stations, Subway, park and a church.

Our day consisted getting a Subway sandwhich for lunch and
being at the park for 6 hours and
Benji helping a little boy find his friends.

It was an experience. But fun.

This is the face Im going to wake up to for all eternity.
I can't wait.

Two Weeks...

Two Weeks done. Six weeks to go.
Then I don't know what I am going to do.
Might hang out in Texas with my Mom.
Might hang out in Utah with my brother and my Dad.
Or might be the responsible adult I should be and get a job.

But, two weeks done.
Quarter of the way done with my internship.

My days consist of reading the Wall Street Journal, which I get engrossed in everyday.
I know I am nerd.
Creating excel spreadsheets. I love it.
Benji always makes fun of how excel is always my go to for
pretty much everything on the computer.
Sitting in meetings.
That I don't love so much. My back aches sometimes from sitting down for so long.
But I am loving what I am learning by sitting in those meetings.
Then driving home for 45 minutes.

Productive day? I would say so.
