Deliciously Goodness.

Brace yourselves. I am about to post a recipe.
Heather would be so proud.
I know it is just a dessert, what better place to start making baby steps
but the best part of a meal.

I made the cinnamon sugar tortilla chips from this recipe.

Then used Baker's microwaveable fondue chocolate we have on hand,
and cut up the strawberries in manageable pieces.

End result: Yummy goodness.

Weekendish Things.

Yes, I know the weekend was over almost 2 days ago,
BUT Benji and I had a somewhat busy weekend.
For us at least.

My two sisters were at my Mom's house this weekend
for a late Mother's Day celebration.
So, of course we skyped.

Got to see this little guy take some of his first steps.
It was so fun to be there or see it, at least virtually.

On Mother's Day, our ward gave all of the women plants.
This Sunday, Benji didn't feel ours was going to make it
staying in the plastic container it came in,
so he put it in one of our coffee mugs.

We are trying to be optimistic and hope it will at least bloom
before we kill it with our lack of green thumbs.

Sunday afternoon, of course Steffen and Chad came over.
It is becoming a Sunday tradition for them.
Benji decided it was going to be all day snack day.
So, we did.
It was kinda nice not making a fancy dinner.
Like I normally do.

Benji made one of his Dad's famous Grigg dip.
When I was grocery shopping on Saturday,
I was a little skeptical it was going to taste ok,
but it ended being delicious.

Of course, I forgot to take pictures while Benji was making it,
so these are the leftovers we had as part of dinner last night.

Cravings.

Recently I have been having random food cravings.
Like Taco Bell nachos.

Today, was the BBQ chicken pizza
Benji and I made last time I was in Rexburg.
Delish.

Luckily, I have been strong and not giving in.
Not knowing where a taco bell is or having all the ingredients to make the stuff
kinda helps...
but still.

Don't Laugh.

In preparation for upcoming events in these next few months
I have decided I want to make a
recipe book.

A recipe book consisting of our favorite, but ultra simple, recipes.

Surprisingly, I am having a lot of fun looking for recipes.

If you have any recipes you are willing to share,
I would love to add them to my collection.

I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Dinner. Disaster.

I hope Heather doesn't read this.
It would be embarrassing for her.
My sister loves to cook and does a really good job at everything she does with it.
She has a blog just about her recipes.

Ever since I moved to Utah I have been trying to cook a little more.
Tonight Matthew and I decided to have mac and cheese for dinner.
Ok not impressive but Im making an effort, right?

Somehow I managed to put a 1/2 cup of butter in it.
Don't ask how I managed that. But I did.

Needless to say, it tasted a little different.
But the best part, Matthew didn't even notice.
