10 Grigg Moments in 2014

February, I went back to work at Cabela's with Benji. In doing so, Tristin became the latest fit model for their toddler clothes.

May, Tristin started walking. We have yet to be able to keep up with him since.

May 31st, we celebrated Tristin's first birthday.

4th of July, we spent with week in Utah and Idaho visiting family and friends. It felt like we had never truly left.

September, we decided we were ready for a new adventure and made the move to Texas. We are so excited to be here.

October, Benji and Tristin took their first father/son trip and attended Benji's brother's wedding in Denver.

Halloween.

December, Tristin got his first haircut. He no longer looks like a baby.

Santa was not a hit this year.

But Christmas morning was.

We are so grateful for the adventures and lessons learned this past year and are so excited to see what 2015 has in store for us!

5 Months.

Our little monkey turned 5 months today. Where has time gone? I can't believe it has already been 5 months. This is our favorite stage thus far. The giggles and the smile cannot stop. Every day our heart continues to melt.

At 5 months:

-wearing mostly 3-6 months but some 3 months and 6 months clothes
It is on the to do list for this weekend to finally pack away the smaller clothes and I am really dreading it.
- sleeping from 8:30 until about 8am and sometimes waking up once in the night.
-drooling and chewing on everything. We think we finally see a tiny tooth on the top peeking through earlier this week.
-adjusting to tummy time slowly. As soon as you get on your tummy, you quickly roll over to your back
-LOVE bananas. We tried bananas before rice cereal and now you definitely are not a fan of plain cereal. I am trying to make as much of your food as I can so we are slowly adding in new foods. Next, will be avocados.
-Absolutely love talking and making noises. We just love it.

The last 3 months...

The last 3 months of have been quite the adventure for our little family.
You could say a lot has happened.

  1. Tristin was born. Full story here. Love that day.
  2. Ten days later, Benji leaves to start his new job. I cried when he left, but pretty much his dream job right out school.
  3. Tristin and Rebecca stay in Idaho. Thank goodness for my parents staying with us the whole time! I don't know what I would have done without them.
  4. Rebecca gets everything ready for the movers. Bigger headache and stress than I would have imagined.
  5. Movers come pack and take everything.
  6. Benji flew back to Idaho Falls. I cried when I picked him up at the airport. After a month of being apart, its ok to cry some.
  7. Benji, Rebecca and Tristin drive to Nebraska.
  8. Live in furnished housing while we wait for our moving truck to arrive.
  9. Finally the moving truck arrived.
  10. One week later, Tristin's baby blessing. Pictures to come. We unpacked as much as could, thank goodness for my Mom and sister, then stuffed the unpacked boxes in Tristin's room.
  11. Now to unpack the rest of the boxes and organize the chaotic mess.
I think that concludes it. I am very ready to get settled.

We are already planning our trip back to Idaho Falls. We miss it dearly.

Our first home as a family of two. So many memories created there.
