Lately.

This past weekend I was able to go to Denver
to spend sometime with Benji and his family.

We had so much fun together,
like we always do.
And it was good to be back with Benji again,
even if it was just for a short amount of time.

Lessons learned and experiences
from the weekend
consisted of:

1. Never go to the DAV again with Larina, Grandma Richards, and
Benji.
If I ever go again it will be with just Molly.

Benji grew up shopping at thrift stores.
The DAV, particularly.
I have heard a many stories about him being there while he was growing up
and I wanted to see what it was like.
So, I convinced us all to go.

End Result: We were there way to long. We found too much random stuff.
Benji tried to convince me we needed this fine china he found there
instead of the ones we registered for. I didn't buy his convincing.

2. If girl gives advice on another girl, especially in the dating area. Listen and heed.

3. Trying to get a raincheck at Target for a dresser that was on sale, when they weren't sold out.
And the manager caught us.
We weren't really sure what to say.

4. You can be warm being on the tramp with a million blankets
even though its freezing.

5. I got Benji's ring awhile ago through someone Benji knew in Idaho Falls.
Since, I wasn't up there after it was ready he just went
and picked it up,
but I made him promise not to look at it until we were together.
So, we finally were able to look at it together.

6. I finally got to meet Cassidy!
Cassidy got home from his mission in Italy on Black Friday,
so this was the first time we were able to meet.
It was fun to be able to spend some time with him
and get to know him.

7. Saturday, Larina and Molly graciously threw a bridal shower
for me!
We had a lot of fun while everyone was together.

(Notice his ring on his left hand. He wore it pretty much all weekend long.)

I think this is becoming one of my favorite pictures of us.
22 days!

Birthday Boy.

Yesterday was Benji's birthday.
The big TWENTY - THREE!!

I was super excited it was his birthday
but he didn't seem to thrilled.

But today I am even more excited
that I get to see him!

Have all weekend long to celebrate!
And we will for sure be doing that.

I am kinda bummed that I missed the ones before.
But I am excited that I will be there for the next 23 and more to come!

Favorite Things.

I have decided I want to be just like Oprah.
I mean who doesn't want to be like her. Look at her?

So I decided I was going to come up with a favorite things list.

  1. My shoes I am wearing with my wedding dress. Found here. I keep getting them out of the box and looking at them. Surprisingly, they are actually pretty comfortable and not hard to walk in at all. I hope they are somewhat similar shade to Benji's suit he is going to be wearing. Found here. If not I might have a hard time parting ways with them to get other ones.
  2. This blog. Recently, almost everyday I not only watch one of her tutorials but three or four. Nerdy? Very much so. I am like a little girl just being able to use makeup.
  3. My new wallet I got for Christmas. I absolutely love it. It has so many pockets for all of my random cards I carry. Don't ask why. And it is wide enough I am able to fit so many receipts in it so they aren't on the bottom of my purse.
  4. My veil. Found here. I am so excited to wear it. The lady who made it lives in Rexburg. I found and met her through a friend at school. I love everything she does. I wish I was creative and crafty. You can order stuff from her etsy shop or she does custom things if you contact her directly.
  5. Hobby Lobby. I could and do spend hours in that store. I love it. Every time I go in there I get more decorating ideas for our apartment after we get married. I am beyond disappointed the closest one from us will be in Salt Lake.
  6. Mary Kay Night Solution. My Mom uses this stuff all the time. The other day we were talking and she suggested I start using it. I just laughed and told her that was for old people but then I started using it and I absolutely love it. It makes your skin feel so soft.
  7. My engagement ring all soddered with the wedding bands. Benji did such a good job picking out my ring. Not very good picture of the three of them seen here.
  8. The bed set we registered for. Found here. Of course at Target. I love the big, bold damask print. Luckily, it didn't take much to convince Benji to like it as well.
  9. Redken Align 12. I use this stuff almost every night when I blow dry my hair. I have even gotten my Mom to use it as well.
  10. Benji's birthday is less than a week away and I get to spend a few days with him in week. I tried convincing him he needed to get a cookie cake for his birthday because that is what I am recently craving. He told me no. I said he is party pooper.

Over? Can't wait!

2010 was a pretty eventful year
but I can't wait for 2011 to come!
I know it will be just as exciting and rewarding
as 2010 was!

As I think back to everything that happened during the past year
I truly cannot believe how much happened!

In January flew out to Denver to celebrate Benji's birthday with him
after only dating for 2 months.
Flew back again in February.
Became an aunt.
Completed yet another semester of school.
Flew back again in April.
And drove from Denver to Salt Lake.
And loved it.
(I normally despise road trips.)
Benji met all of my Dad's side extended family.
Got engaged.
Completed another semester of school.
Had majority of my family in Rexburg to see me walk.
Benji got to meet the rest of my family.
Went back again to Denver in August.
Took our engagement pictures.
Completed my internship.
Moved back to Texas.
Benji finally came to Texas for Thanksgiving.
Started new jobs.
And kept waiting for February 19th to come...
